Carlo Velten focuses on emerging technologies and private equity. He leads Experton Group's investment advisory activities and advises high growth companies and private equity firms. Offered services range from growth management and marketing advisory for start-up companies to due diligence, value adding and portfolio management services for private equity firms. His fields of expertise are open source technologies and business models as well as internet and media innovations.
Carlo Velten previously worked 3 years as a consultant for high growth companies at the START Intra + Entrepreneurship Centre at the University of Kassel. At START he initiated and supported several ventures and conducted numerous due diligence projects for venture capital and technology firms. Beforehand, Carlo Velten spend 5 years as consultant at TechConsult, where he performed marketing strategy and market research projects for various IT-Companies like Microsoft, Fujitsu-Siemens-Computers, SAP, HP and others.
Carlo Velten holds a B.Sc., a M.Sc. in Management and gathered US-experience as a visiting researcher at the Silicon Valley Centre for Entrepreneurship at San José State University, CA.

Herr Velten verfügt über 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung im ICT-Vendor Consulting und war zuletzt bei der TechConsult GmbH tätig. Inhaltlicher Fokus seiner Arbeit bei Experton Group sind Linux, Open Source und Emerging Technologies.
Carlo Velten besitzt einen Abschluss als Diplom-Ökonom der Universität Kassel und promoviert zum Thema Venture Capital.
