Mr. Israel is currently the founder and CEO of Secure Systems Consulting, LLC.
He has been active in Information Security and Risk Management for over 23 years, having worked at the National Security Agency's (NSA) Computer Security Center, AT&T Bell Labs, AT&T WorldNet, Lucent Technologies, and Avaya. A list of major projects worked includes: evaluating operating systems security; enhancing the security functionality of the SVR4 UNIX OS; secure development practices in the Strategic Defense Initiative (aka "Star Wars"); numerous consulting projects including enhancing the security of a banking system for the government of Taiwan; and numerous projects to improve the security of commercial products (e.g., VoIP). He has co-authored several government reports and research papers in computer security.
Howard has a BS from SUNY Albany (double major in Computer Science and Business Administration) and an MS in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology.
