Hemzal, Alexander

Alexander Hemzal is Country Manager Switzerland and Director Advisor at Experton Group.
Before joining Experton Group in 2006, Mr. Hemzal worked for IDC Germany/ Switzerland as a Director Operations. Later he changed to META Group Switzerland to be responsible as Director Consultant. At last he was Associate Director at Gartner Switzerland.

Mr. Hemzal has more than 15 years of experience in information technology (IT) management and consulting. His primary focus is on the alignment of business and IT-strategy as well as IT-architecture. In addition his consulting experience refers mainly to: IT-Strategy, IT-Architecture & IT-Security, IT-Benchmarking, IT-Outsourcing, Vertical Market Research, Sales Planning and Business-Process-Reengineering. He has also focused intensively on the examination and development of electronic market-places.

Mr. Hemzal holds a master’s degree in Business-Administration of the Academy of Business Administration Frankfurt/Main with focus on IT, controlling and marketing as well as a master’s degree in Economical Geography of the University of Frankfurt/Main with focus on strategic planning.

Vor seinem Wechsel zur Experton Group Anfang 2006 war Herr Hemzal zunächst als Operations Director bei IDC Germany/Switzerland tätig. Später wechselte er zur META Group Schweiz, wo er als Director Consultant tätig war. Zuletzt war er Associate Director bei Gartner Switzerland.

Herr Hemzal verfügt über mehr als 15 Jahre Berufserfahrung auf dem Gebiet des Informationstechnologie-Managements und Consultings. Der primäre Fokus seiner Tätigkeit liegt in der Konvergenz von Geschäfts- und IT-Strategien sowie auf dem Gebiet der IT-Architektur. Hervorzuheben sind insbesondere die folgenden Schwerpunkte: IT-Strategie, IT-Architektur & IT-Sicherheit, IT-Benchmarking, IT-Outsourcing, vertikale Marktanalysen, Vertriebsplanung und Business-Process-Reengineering.

In der Vergangenheit hat sich Herr Hemzal zudem intensiv mit der Analyse und Entwicklung elektronischer Marktplätze beschäftigt.

Herr Hemzal verfügt über einen Abschluss in Betriebswirtschaft mit den Schwerpunkten Informationstechnologie, Controlling und Marketing sowie über einen Abschluss als Wirtschafts-Geograph mit dem Schwerpunkt Strategische Unternehmensplanung.
