Before joining META Group in March 1992, Mr. Evans was director of large-scale data center consolidation and operational development projects at United Technologies Corp. (UTC), with responsibility for financial, operational, and technology strategies. With 25 years of data processing experience at UTC, he has been involved in managing all aspects of both commercial and technical large-scale, distributed, and workstation environments, including performance analysis, operations, acquisitions, forecasting, and technology assessment. While at META Group, Mr. Evans has focused on broad tactical and strategic analysis of data center hardware, software, and personnel, focusing on consolidation and migration issues for service-centric organizations. He brings a unique combination of pragmatic, technical, and process skills covering the complete operational landscape.
Mr. Evans received a Mechanical Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
