Ali, Sameen

Sameen Ali -  Project Executive Experton Group, Dubai. 

As a graduate of the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), Ms Sameen Ali possesses an undergraduate degree in Computer Science. With regard to university performance and her educational caliber, she has been the proud recipient of complete scholarship and placement in the 2002 Dean’s Merit List. Furthermore, she represented UOWD at the 2003 National Programming Contest hosted by American University of Sharjah, and attained the ninth ranking amongst nearly 18 participating groups.

Additionally, to fulfill academic requirements and attain practical experience, she developed various projects, either individually or as part of group(s). These developments ranged from a fully operational E-commerce service for Automobiles to a Web-service that hosts Auction portals. As a result, Sameen is capable of efficiently managing project groups, coordinating team activities and resolving challenging issues.

The practical knowledge acquired as part of university studies and her involvement in the above-mentioned projects could be categorized into programming languages, database management and control, Web-development and Web-service establishment and maintenance. Her coding skills pertain to Java, C++, VB.Net and ASP. Meanwhile, websites can be confidently developed using HTML, PHP, JSP, Macromedia Flash and JavaScript. Lastly, database administration can be undertaken for Oracle, MySQL and DB2 platforms.

Prior to undertaking responsibility at the Experton Group, Ms Sameen Ali worked for General Motors on assignment for inventory management, thereby acquiring skills in prologs and SAP systems.
