Juergen Brettel is Chief Executive Officer of Experton Group AG. He himself is responsible for Marketing, Events, Press as well as Finance, Personnel, IT and Management.
Previously to joining Experton Group, he was seven years with META Group. He served as Member of the Management Board of META Group AG, Managing Director of META Group Deutschland GmbH and Vice President EMEA.
Before, Mr. Brettel held various executive positions at Digital Equipment in marketing, sales and business development. Prior to that, he worked for Hewlett-Packard, where he was in charge of HP’s European product marketing and business development activities for all UNIX-based computers. Before that, he was HP’s global product marketing manager for IC testing.
Further ongoing education of Mr. Brettel included courses at the Insead Institute in Fontainebleau and the Babson College in Lausanne.
Mr. Brettel studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Furtwangen and the Technical University of Berlin. He holds a masters degree in electrical engineering.
Mr. Lutz Peichert is Chief Operating Officer at Experton Group and in this role leads the team of experienced Advisors doing market research and consulting.
He also supports customers to help them make strategic and tactical decisions and set up and optimize organizations and processes to enable them to leverage IT and service solutions.
With more than 35 years of IT industry experience, Mr. Peichert has profound knowledge, in particular, in areas such as outsourcing, IT operations and benchmarking. Until mid-2014 Mr. Peichert worked as Vice President and Principal Analyst for Forrester Research, where he was responsible for the "Sourcing and Vendor Management" practice and also published Forrester's "SVM Practice Playbook". Before working as principal analyst, Mr. Peichert was head of Forrester Research's European consulting organization.
Prior to joining Forrester Research in October 2005, Mr. Peichert was a "Client Partner" for Gartner Group's strategic customers in Germany. In 1995 he took over the responsibility for the Central European IT operations & benchmarking team of META Group, before META Group was acquired by Gartner Group.
During the early 1990ies, Mr. Peichert worked as managing director of MultiNET Technology GmbH, a Munich-based software and consulting firm. Before, Mr. Peichert held various national as well as international management roles at Digital Equipment Corporation.
Mr. Peichert is an experienced speaker on national and international conferences, such as the National Dutch Outsourcing Conference, the German Computerwoche Forum, the Slovak CIO Conference and other events.
Mr. Peichert started his career in the late 1970ies as a system manager at the German Navy. He has a vocational diploma and has completed training as radio and TV technician.
Luis Praxmarer is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Experton Group LLC, USA, the Experton Group FZ-LLC, Dubai and Global Research Director of Experton Group.
Mr. Praxmarer is a renowned expert for new information technologies and the definition of future trends in the global IT market. He especially focuses on subjects concerning the IT’s value as contribution to corporate success through innovation and efficiency and the impact of IT on the global economy, regionally and in countries.
Before joining Experton Group, Luis Praxmarer founded META Group Deutschland GmbH in 1994, was owner and Chief Executive Officer of META Group AG and General Manager EMEA. He left META Group on December 31, 2005.
Mr. Praxmarer has over 26 years of experience in the information technology industry in Europe, US and the Middle East. In addition, he is an accredited expert with Startups, Mergers & Acquisitions, Research, Sales and Marketing. Computer Woche Germany ranked him as one of the most influential IT experts.
Before founding META Group Deutschland GmbH in 1994, Mr. Praxmarer held various managerial positions at Digital Equipment, including sales manager and corporate marketing manager in the US.
Mr. Praxmarer holds an engineering degree for data communications and high-frequency technology of the HTL Innsbruck/Austria. He also studied business administration in an executive education course for professionals at the Regis University in Colorado Springs, USA. Luis Praxmarer is a Life Member of The National Registry of Who’s Who. He has been accepted in recognition of significant accomplishments and exemplary service, both to community and to profession.
